Elongated Man, whose real name is Ralph Dibny, is a fictional character from DC Comics. He first appeared in *The Flash* #112 (May 1960).
Dibny is a detective with the ability to stretch his body to incredible lengths and contort himself into various shapes. He gained his powers after years of investigating and discovering a rare extract called Gingold that granted him his elasticity.
Using his abilities, Elongated Man travels the world solving crimes and mysteries, frequently alongside his wife, Sue Dibny. His detective skills are often augmented by his enhanced sense of smell, which helps him uncover clues others might miss.
